Antonio DeShonta Smith, born on October 21, 1981, is a former American professional football player. He played as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Antonio played college football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. He was chosen by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2004 NFL draft.
He also played for the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, and the Houston Texans. Antonio also spent some time with the Hamburg Sea Devils in NFL Europe. A big highlight of his career was winning Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos.

Antonio Smith's College Football Journey
Antonio Smith played college football at Oklahoma State University. During his junior year, he was recognized as an honorable mention All-Big 12 player. This means he was one of the top players in his conference.
Before joining Oklahoma State, Antonio played for NEO A&M College. He spent his freshman and sophomore years there. Then, he transferred to Oklahoma State for his junior and senior seasons.

Playing for the Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals drafted Antonio Smith in 2004. He was the 135th player chosen overall. After his first year, he played in NFL Europe for the Hamburg Sea Devils in 2005. This league helped players develop their skills.
During the 2008 NFL season, Antonio played in every game. He helped the Cardinals reach Super Bowl XLIII. Even though the team played well, they lost a close game to the Pittsburgh Steelers. After this season, the Cardinals decided not to sign him again.
First Time with the Houston Texans
Antonio Smith then joined the Houston Texans as a free agent in 2009. He quickly became an important part of their defense.
In 2011, Antonio was chosen for his first Pro Bowl. This is a special game where the best players from the NFL compete. He replaced another player who was injured, showing how skilled he was. In 2013, Antonio was suspended for the first game of the season due to an incident during a preseason game.
Time with the Oakland Raiders

Antonio Smith's Life Outside Football
Antonio Smith is a father of three children: Antonio Jr., Winter, and Marty.
He and his sister, Antwonette, started a foundation called Smith's Little People With Big Challenges. This organization works to help fight childhood obesity.
Antonio also shares his football knowledge by volunteering. He coaches the defensive line for the Christian Heritage high school football team in Del City, Oklahoma. In 2018, the team made it to the Oklahoma state class A championship final.
After retiring from the NFL, Antonio returned to his home state of Oklahoma. He became a rancher, raising animals like rabbits, horses, and cattle.
