Antonio DeShonta Smith (born October 21, 1981) is a former American football player. He was a talented defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Antonio played college football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. He was picked by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2004 NFL draft. He also played for the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, and the Houston Texans. Antonio won Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos.

College Football Journey
Antonio Smith started his college football career at NEO A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma. He played there during his freshman (2000) and sophomore (2001) years.
Later, he transferred to Oklahoma State University. He played for the Oklahoma State Cowboys during his junior (2002) and senior (2003) seasons. In his junior year, he was recognized as an honorable mention All-Big 12 player.
Playing in the NFL
Antonio Smith was chosen by the Arizona Cardinals in the fifth round of the 2004 NFL draft. He was the 135th player picked overall.
Starting with the Arizona Cardinals
After his first year with the Cardinals, Antonio played for the Hamburg Sea Devils in NFL Europe in 2005. This was a league where players could develop their skills.
During the 2008 NFL season, Antonio played in every game for the Cardinals. He helped his team reach Super Bowl XLIII. Even though they played well, the Cardinals lost a close game to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Time with the Houston Texans
In 2009, Antonio Smith joined the Houston Texans. He became an important player for their defense.
In 2011, Antonio was chosen for his first Pro Bowl. This is a special game where the best players from the NFL play against each other. He was picked to replace another injured player.
Playing for the Oakland Raiders
On March 14, 2014, Antonio signed a contract with the Oakland Raiders. He played as a defensive tackle for them. He stayed with the Raiders for one season.

Life After Football
Antonio Smith has three children: Antonio Jr., Winter, and Marty.
He and his sister, Antwonette, started a group called Smith's Little People With Big Challenges Foundation. This organization works to help fight childhood obesity.
After retiring from the NFL, Antonio returned to his home state of Oklahoma. He became a rancher, where he raises animals like rabbits, horses, and cattle. He also shares his football knowledge by volunteering as a defensive line coach for a high school football team in Del City, Oklahoma.
