College Football Career

Arian Foster started his college career at Tennessee in 2004. He was a "redshirt" his first year, meaning he practiced but didn't play in games. He became a starter at running back for three years.

Freshman Season (2005)

In 2005, Foster quickly became an important player. He made his college debut in September. In October, he scored his first college touchdown. When another player got injured, Foster got more chances to run the ball. He had several games with over 100 rushing yards. In one game against Vanderbilt, he carried the ball 40 times and gained 268 all-purpose yards. This was one of the highest totals in school history. He finished the season as the team's top rusher with 879 yards and five touchdowns.

Sophomore Season (2006)

Foster's 2006 season had less production. He started strong with a touchdown against California. However, an ankle injury caused him to miss two games. He returned to score three touchdowns against Georgia. He ended the season with 322 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
