Arjuna is a very important hero in the ancient Indian epic story called the Mahabharata. He is known as one of the greatest archers and warriors of his time. Arjuna also plays a big part in the Bhagavad Gita, where he has important conversations with Krishna.
Arjuna was the third of the five Pandava brothers. Because he was the middle brother, he was sometimes called Madhyam Pandava. He had several wives: Draupadi, Ulupi, Chitrāngadā, and Subhadra, who was Lord Krishna's sister. Arjuna had many children, including Srutakarma, Iravan, Babruvahana, Abhimanyu, Pragati, and Pragya.
Arjuna learned many skills from his teacher, Dronacharya. He was taught about religion, science, how to manage things (administration), and how to fight in battles.

Avenging Abhimanyu's Death
On the thirteenth day of the war, Arjuna's son, Abhimanyu, was unfairly killed. Abhimanyu had entered a special battle formation called the Chakravyuha alone. Other Pandavas were blocked by Jayadratha from helping him. Arjuna was very sad and angry about this. He promised to kill Jayadratha by sunset the next day, or he would end his own life.
The Kauravas tried to hide Jayadratha to protect him. But Arjuna fought through many powerful warriors, including Karna, Drona, Kripa, and Ashwatthama. He managed to reach Jayadratha and killed him before the sun went down, keeping his promise.
