The arrondissement of Tulle is an arrondissement of France, in the Corrèze department, Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Its capital is the city of Tulle.

History

When the Corrèze department was created on 1800, the arrondissement of Tulle was part of that original department.

Geography

It is the central arrondissement of the department with an area of 2,564.4 km2 (990.1 sq mi). It has 78,408 inhabitants (2014) and a density of 30.6 inhabitants/km².

The arrondissement of Tulle is in the centre of the department and is bordered to the north by the Haute-Vienne department, to the northeast and east by the arrondissement of Ussel, to the southeast by the Cantal department, to the south by the Lot department and to the west by the arrondissement of Brive-la-Gaillarde.
