About Arsenic Lake

Arsenic Lake is a unique body of water in Northeastern Ontario. It's known for its interesting name and its role in the local water system. The lake is part of a much larger network of rivers and lakes.

Where is Arsenic Lake?

This lake is located in the Canadian province of Ontario. Specifically, it's in the northern part of the province, in a district called Nipissing. The area around Temagami is famous for its many lakes and forests.

Water Flow and Connections

Arsenic Lake is connected to a big system of waterways. Its water flows out through a small, unnamed creek. This creek then leads into Net Lake.

From Net Lake, the water continues its journey. It travels through Cassels Lake and then into Rabbit Lake. Finally, the water reaches the Matabitchuan River. This river then flows into Lake Timiskaming.

All these lakes and rivers eventually lead to the Ottawa River. This means Arsenic Lake is part of the huge Ottawa River drainage basin. A drainage basin is like a giant funnel where all the rain and melted snow eventually flow into one main river.
