Chronology
Related shows SMart (1994–2009)

Art Attack is a super fun British TV show for kids. It's all about making amazing art and crafts! The show teaches you how to create cool things using everyday items.

The original series was on CITV from 1990 to 2007. It was hosted by Neil Buchanan, who also helped create the show. Neil came up with many of the awesome art ideas you saw.

Later, a new version of Art Attack started on Disney Junior in 2011. Jassa Ahluwalia was the first host for this new series. He would explain how an artist made three different art projects, step by step. Later, Lloyd Warbey took over as the host.

Meet the Characters of Art Attack

The show had some memorable characters who helped make art even more fun!

The Head

"The Head" was a funny stone puppet. He would often recap the steps for the last art project. Sometimes, he would try to make the art himself but get it hilariously wrong! This usually made him burst into tears.

However, sometimes his mistakes would lead to a cool, unexpected result. Then he would be very proud of his new creation. The Head also told jokes after the "Big Art Attacks."

Different actors played The Head over the years. Jim Sweeney played him in the first series. Andrew O'Connor took over for series two. From series three, he was a puppet voiced by Francis Wright. The Head didn't appear in every series.

Vincent Van Coconut

In the newer Art Attack series, The Head was replaced by a talking palm tree. This tree was named "Vincent Van Coconut." His name is a funny play on the famous Dutch painter, Vincent van Gogh. Tim Hibber was the voice of Vincent Van Coconut.
