Asiahn Bryant (born November 24, 1987), also known as Asiahn, is an American singer, songwriter, and voice actress. She was born in Paterson, New Jersey. Asiahn is currently signed to the SinceThe80s and Motown record labels. Since 2021, she has also been the voice of Karma Grant in the Netflix musical show, Karma's World. This show was created by the famous artist Ludacris.
Early Life
Asiahn Bryant was born in Paterson, New Jersey. When she was a baby, her family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. Growing up, Asiahn used music to help her through tough times.
Musical Journey
Asiahn Bryant started her music journey by meeting Craig King. He helped her develop her artistic skills. A few years later, she began touring. She even opened shows for big stars like Ludacris, T.I., Kanye West, and Erykah Badu.
In 2011, Asiahn signed a music deal with Universal Music Group. That same year, she released her first mini-album, called Analog Girl X Digital World. It came out on June 7 under the Motown record label.
Asiahn also writes songs for other artists. In 2013, she helped write "Hands in the Air" for Miley Cyrus. She also worked with Jennifer Lopez in 2014. Asiahn sang on albums for artists like The Game and Ludacris. In 2016, she helped write songs for TV shows like Empire and Star.
In 2017, Asiahn released her second mini-album, Love Train. She then released a follow-up, Love Train 2, in 2019. On January 11, 2021, she released The Interlude EP. This album was so popular that Asiahn was featured on the Billboard Emerging Artists Spotlight. Later, on March 18, she released a special live version of The Interlude EP with an orchestra.
Voice Acting Career
Besides her music, Asiahn has also become a voice actress. In mid-2021, she started voicing the main character, Karma Grant, in the Netflix animated musical series, Karma's World. This show was created by Ludacris, who also voices Karma's dad in the series.
Asiahn and Ludacris worked together on one song for the show's official soundtrack. Asiahn sang on the rest of the songs for the album, including the main theme song. The theme song even has its own music video on YouTube. The Karma's World soundtrack is special because it's the only album Asiahn has been part of that wasn't released by SinceThe80s or Motown.
