Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau Nieto (born in Barcelona, Spain, on January 20, 1964) is a famous Spanish painter. He is known for his amazing hyperrealist paintings. This means his paintings look almost exactly like real-life photos! He mostly paints historical military scenes, showing different times and events of the Spanish Armed Forces. His art is very detailed and realistic.
In 2022, he started the Ferrer-Dalmau Foundation. This foundation helps share knowledge about defense history and art.

About His Life and Art
Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau Nieto grew up in Barcelona. From a young age, he loved to paint with oil paints. He also had a strong interest in military history.
In the late 1980s, he worked as a designer for clothing companies. But he always kept painting. His first artworks were landscapes, especially scenes of the sea. Later, he started painting city scenes in Barcelona, showing everyday life in his hometown. He showed his art in galleries and became well-known.
In the late 1990s, he decided to focus on historical military art. He began creating paintings that mixed landscapes with soldiers and horses.
Since 2010, Ferrer-Dalmau has lived in Madrid. He works with many groups that focus on Spanish military history. Several books have been published about his paintings. He also started his own magazine, FD (Ferrer-Dalmau) Magazine. It explores Spanish history and its people through art and social stories. His paintings are often used in history books and magazines.
Ferrer-Dalmau has even visited places where there were conflicts, like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Mali, and Lebanon. He went there to sketch, take notes, and paint. He lived with Spanish soldiers in 2012 and with Georgian soldiers in 2014. He was the first Spanish painter to go on a mission abroad to work with the Spanish Ministry of Defense. Other armies, like the US Marine Corps, also have artists who go to war zones. Ferrer-Dalmau is a member of The International Society of War Artists. He painted La Patrulla (The Patrol) as a tribute to Spanish soldiers. He continued to paint Spanish troops in Lebanon (2016), Mali (2018), Syria (2018), and Iraq (2019).
