Ayah Marar (Arabic: آية مرار; born September 20, 1980) is a talented singer and songwriter. She is from Jordan and Bulgaria, and now lives in the UK. Ayah is famous for her strong vocals and has worked with many well-known British artists. These include Calvin Harris, DJ Fresh, and Camo & Krooked. People sometimes call her the "Queen of Bass" or the "dubstep queen."

Ayah Marar's Early Life
Ayah was born in Amman, Jordan. Her father was Jordanian, and her mother was from Czechia and Bulgaria. She grew up mostly in Jordan. When she was 18, she moved to the UK. There, she started her music journey at Warwick University.
Becoming a Musician
Ayah Marar is a big part of the drum and bass music scene. She recorded her first song, 'Dance Child,' in 2004. Soon after, she met and started working with Calvin Harris and Toddla T. Ayah even lived with Calvin Harris for a short time. She also toured the world as part of his live shows. She sang on three songs for his second album.
Ayah also worked at a record shop called Uptown Records in London. This helped her meet many people in radio and clubs. She also helped start a record label called Lucky Devil Records. She organized music events around London.
She wrote and sang on albums for artists like Jack Penate, Bassline Smith, and DJ Fresh. Her music has been played on big radio stations like BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM. Her song 'Unstoppable' was even chosen as the "Jam Hot Record of the Week."
Ayah decided to start her own music career. She created her own record label, "Hussle Girl." This was a way for her to release her own songs and her album, The Real. This album came out on October 15, 2012.
For four years, Ayah was a regular DJ at Herbal in Shoreditch. She also toured as an MC (someone who hosts events) with Hospital Records. She formed a funk band called SlinkyFix. They toured the UK and played at famous places like the Jazz Café.
Ayah performed with the Austrian drum and bass group, Camo & Krooked. They played at big venues like Brixton Academy and across Europe. In 2013, Ayah worked with Calvin Harris again. She sang on his popular song "Thinking About You."
