Azərpoçt is the main company that handles all postal services in Azerbaijan. It's like the national mail carrier, making sure letters and packages get where they need to go across the country and even worldwide.
Azərpoçt was started on September 29, 1999. The Ministry of Communication of Azerbaijan created it. This new company took over from an older postal group called "Azərpoçt İstehsalat Birliyi." That group was formed after the Soviet Union broke apart in 1991. By 2004, Azərpoçt became the official national postal operator. This means it's the main company for all postal services in Azerbaijan.
Azərpoçt has several important parts that help it run. It has 4 main branches that handle things like sorting mail and providing technical support. There are also special services for express mail. Overall, Azərpoçt has 71 branches across Azerbaijan. These branches manage about 1,500 post offices. These post offices are where people can send and receive mail.
