Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse is a fun online cartoon series. It was made by Arc Productions and Mattel. The show first came out on May 11, 2012. You can watch it on Barbie.com, Netflix, and YouTube. Two special TV episodes also aired on Nickelodeon in 2013. The series finished on November 27, 2015. Later, a new show called Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures started in 2018.

About the Show
This cartoon is set in a make-believe version of Malibu, California, in the United States. In this world, everyone is a doll! Even though they are dolls, they act just like real people. The show often uses funny moments that remind us they are dolls.
The series is all about Barbie and her exciting life. It features her friends, her sisters, her boyfriend Ken, and their many pets. The show is made to look like a reality TV show. Characters often talk directly to the camera, sharing their thoughts. It uses a lot of silly humor and jokes about the Barbie doll line itself.

The main setting is Barbie's huge, pink "Dreamhouse." It's a very fancy and modern home. The show often features different parts of Malibu, like the beach or the mall.

- Kenneth "Ken" Carson (voiced by Sean Hankinson): Ken is Barbie's long-time boyfriend. He always tries to be the perfect boyfriend for Barbie. Ken is an inventor who creates cool machines and gadgets for Barbie. Sometimes, his inventions don't work out as planned!
Barbie's Sisters
- Skipper Roberts (voiced by Paula Rhodes): Skipper is the oldest of Barbie's sisters. She loves technology and is a great DJ.
- Stacie Roberts (voiced by Paula Rhodes): Stacie is the middle sister. She's a tomboy who enjoys sports and keeping things organized.
- Chelsea Roberts (voiced by Laura Gerow): Chelsea is the youngest of Barbie's sisters. She loves collecting and playing with stuffed animals. Her favorite is her "Unicorn Plushie of the Month."

- Teresa (voiced by Katie Crown): Teresa is one of Barbie's best friends. She lives close to the Dreamhouse. Teresa is very talkative, sweet, and sometimes a bit silly.
- Nikki (voiced by Nakia Burrise): Nikki is another one of Barbie's best friends. She also runs a fashion blog and loves taking photos. Nikki is creative, smart, and always stands up for her friends.
- Midge Hadley (voiced by Ashlyn Selich): Midge is Barbie's best friend from when they were kids. She moved to Malibu from Willows, Wisconsin. Midge is quirky, smart, and loves arts and crafts. She even has a crush on Ryan!
- Summer (voiced by Tara Sands): Summer is another one of Barbie's best friends. She is full of energy and loves sports and games. Summer is very competitive, and her super active nature can sometimes be a lot to handle.
- Grace (voiced by Lillian Sofia): Grace is Barbie's new best friend and lives in Malibu. She is very smart and loves science.
Other Characters
- Raquelle (voiced by Haviland Stillwell): Raquelle is Barbie's rival. She tries to be better than Barbie and win Ken's attention. Raquelle is often vain and arrogant, and her plans to cause trouble for Barbie usually don't work out.
- Ryan (voiced by Charlie Bodin): Ryan is Raquelle's twin brother. He is a musician who is in love with Barbie. He often writes songs for her. Ryan is also very vain and sometimes carries big cardboard cutouts of himself!
- The Mall Cop: This strict security guard makes sure everyone follows the rules at the Malibu Mall.
- Closet (voiced by Todd Resnick): Closet is a robot that lives in and manages Barbie's huge closet. The robot speaks in a flat voice and sometimes shows a mischievous side.
