Baret Island is a small, unique island located in Buzzards Bay. This island is mostly rocky, but it also has some sandy areas. It has an oval shape, making it stand out in the bay.
Baret Island is part of a group of islands called the Elizabeth Islands. These islands are found in Massachusetts, which is a state in the USA.

Baret Island is located in Dukes County. It is also part of the town of Gosnold. This town includes all the Elizabeth Islands.
Island Neighbors
The island is situated near Nashawena Island. You can find Baret Island just off the northern coast of Nashawena. It is northeast of another small island called Rock Island.
To the southeast, Baret Island is near a part of Nashawena Island known as The Neck. Directly north of Baret Island, you will find Middle Pond. This pond is also located on Nashawena Island.
