Barwick is a small city in the state of Georgia, in the United States. It's special because it sits right on the border between two counties: Brooks County and Thomas County. Barwick is also part of the larger Valdosta area. In 2020, about 363 people lived there.

A Look Back in Time
Barwick started to grow in the early 1890s. This happened when a new railroad line was built through the area. A post office opened in Barwick in 1894. The community was named after R. H. Barwick. He was an important leader in the Primitive Baptist church. Barwick officially became a town in 1903. This was decided by the Georgia General Assembly, which is Georgia's state legislature.
