The Story of Batterfish

The first Batterfish restaurant opened in Encino, Los Angeles, in 2014. It was a popular spot there for a few years. In 2016, the owner, Jason Killalee, decided to try something new. He launched Batterfish as a food truck in Santa Monica, California. This allowed them to serve their food in more places.
TV Fame and New Locations
In 2017, Batterfish gained national attention. It was shown on the Food Network's famous show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. This episode was part of the show's 27th season.
A few years later, in 2020, Batterfish changed again. It started operating from a food cart in Happy Valley, Oregon. This food cart was located at the Happy Valley Station pod. Then, in 2022, Batterfish moved to southeast Portland. It became a full brick and mortar restaurant in the Sunnyside neighborhood. This new location used to be a restaurant called Char Latin Grill.
