Bay Terraces is a hilly urban neighborhood in the city of San Diego, California, in the United States. It is located in the southeastern part of the city. This area is made up of two smaller parts: North Bay Terrace and South Bay Terrace.

Bay Terraces shares its borders with several other neighborhoods. To the north, you'll find Skyline. To the southwest, it borders Paradise Hills. On its western side are Alta Vista, South Encanto, and National City. The southern edge of Bay Terraces is next to State Route 54 and Bonita.

The neighborhood uses the ZIP Codes 92114 and 92139. Because of this, some people might mistakenly call parts of Bay Terraces "Paradise Hills" or "Skyline Hills." This is just because they are very close to those areas and share some ZIP Codes. Even so, Bay Terraces is the largest neighborhood in its local planning area, which is called the Skyline-Paradise Hills Community Planning Area.

Who Lives in Bay Terraces?

Bay Terraces is home to many different people. In 2019, about 29,419 people lived there. This means there were about 9,806 people living in each square mile.

The neighborhood has a very diverse population. Many different backgrounds and cultures are represented. For example, a large number of residents are of Asian descent, especially Filipino. There are also many African American and Hispanic or Latino residents. This mix of people makes Bay Terraces a vibrant and interesting place to live.
