Bayard is a small town in Grant County, West Virginia, in the United States. In 2020, about 200 people lived there.

The town was officially started in 1893. It was named after Thomas F. Bayard, Jr.. He later became a United States senator for Delaware. Bayard began as a coal mining town along a railway. Mining coal has always been its main industry.

The main road in Bayard is West Virginia Route 90. This road helps connect Bayard to other places. It goes to U.S. Route 219 in the southwest. It also connects to U.S. Route 50 in the northeast. Inside Bayard, Route 90 is called Front Street. It runs right through the middle of town.
