Beaver City is a small city located in Furnas County, in the southern part of Nebraska, United States. It's known as the county seat of Furnas County. This means it's where the main government offices for the county are located. In 2010, about 609 people lived here.

History of Beaver City
Beaver City was officially planned and laid out in 1872. When a city is "platting," it means its streets, blocks, and lots are mapped out. The city got its name from Beaver Creek, a nearby stream. This creek was named for the many North American beaver that lived there.
A famous person, George W. Norris, started his career in Beaver City. He later became a United States Senator for Nebraska. A Senator is a person elected to represent their state in the U.S. government. He moved to Beaver City after finishing law school.

Beaver City is located in Nebraska. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city covers a total area of about 0.99 square miles (2.56 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
