Beaver Creek is a small city in Rock County, Minnesota, United States. It was officially planned and laid out in 1877. The city got its name from the many beavers found along a nearby creek in the late 1800s. In 2020, about 280 people lived there.

History of Beaver Creek
A post office opened in Beaver Creek in 1873. This means people could send and receive mail there. The city itself was officially "platted" in 1877. This means its streets and lots were mapped out. Beaver Creek was named after the nearby Beaver Creek. The city became an official town, or "incorporated," in 1884. This gave it its own local government.
Geography and Location
Beaver Creek is located in southwestern Minnesota. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city covers about 0.50 square miles (1.3 square kilometers) of land. There is no water within the city limits.
A major road, Interstate 90, runs through the community. This highway helps people travel to and from Beaver Creek. Another important road, Minnesota State Highway 23, is just three miles to the west.
