The Beebe River is a cool river in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, United States. It is about 16.7 miles (26.9 kilometers) long. This river is a tributary, which means it's a smaller stream that flows into a bigger one. The Beebe River flows into the Pemigewasset River. All the water from the Beebe River eventually joins the Merrimack River's watershed. A watershed is an area of land where all the water drains into a common river or lake.

Where the Journey Begins
The Beebe River starts in a special place called Black Mountain Pond. This pond is high up on the southern slopes of Sandwich Mountain. Sandwich Mountain is a tall peak, almost 4,000 feet (1,217 meters) high. It's located in the southern part of the White Mountains. The river's starting point is in the town of Sandwich.
The River's Path
From Black Mountain Pond, the Beebe River flows downhill towards the south. Then, it makes a turn and heads west. It travels through a beautiful, wooded area known as Sandwich Notch. The river stays in this quiet valley as it enters another town called Campton.
As the river gets closer to a village called Campton Hollow, the valley gets wider. Here, the Beebe River meets New Hampshire Route 175. You can even see some small waterfalls as the river continues its journey. These waterfalls add to the river's natural beauty.
Meeting the Pemigewasset
The Beebe River then flows past an old industrial area known as Beebe River. This area once had busy factories and mills. Finally, the Beebe River reaches its destination: the Pemigewasset River. This meeting point is right next to Interstate 93. The Pemigewasset River is much larger and carries the Beebe River's water further south.
Important Tributaries
Along its journey, the Beebe River is joined by smaller streams. These are also called tributaries. The main tributaries that flow into the Beebe River are Spencer Brook and Ryan Brook. These smaller streams add more water to the Beebe River as it makes its way to the Pemigewasset.
