Beekdaelen is a municipality located in the southern part of the Netherlands. It is found in the province of Limburg. This municipality was created when three smaller areas joined together. These areas were Nuth, Onderbanken, and Schinnen.
Beekdaelen is home to about 35,853 people. It does not have one main capital city. The town hall, where the local government works, is in the village of Nuth. Nuth is the largest village in the municipality, with about 6,520 residents.
There are many other villages in Beekdaelen. Some of these include Amstenrade (2,670 people), Hulsberg (3,954 people), Oirsbeek (3,733 people), and Schinveld (4,629 people). Other villages like Bingelrade, Doenrade, Jabeek, Merkelbeek, Puth, Schimmert, Schinnen, Sweikhuizen, and Wijnandsrade also make up this municipality.
