Bejucal is a town and a municipality (a type of local government area) in the Mayabeque Province of Cuba. It was started way back in 1713. Bejucal is famous for being the end point of the very first railroad built in Cuba and all of Latin America. This important railroad opened in 1837.

The town is also known for one of Cuba's most popular and traditional carnival festivals. This lively event is called "Charangas de Bejucal." Bejucal has also been an important place for telecommunications. It has hosted broadcasts for different news and media networks. It is also home to a station that listens to radio signals.

Where is Bejucal Located?

The municipality of Bejucal is located in a central spot. To the north, it shares a border with Boyeros, which is a part of Havana. To the east, it borders San José de las Lajas.

To the south, you'll find Quivicán. On the west side, it borders San Antonio de los Baños.
