History of Bellevue
Bellevue once had a school called Bellevue Provisional School. It opened in 1898. This was a 'half-time' school, meaning it shared a teacher with another school nearby, Springbank Provisional School. The school closed around 1900.
Between 2008 and 2013, Bellevue was part of the Tablelands Region. This region included all other parts of the Shire of Mareeba during that time.

In both the 2016 and 2021 Australian censuses, Bellevue was recorded as having "no people or a very low population". This means it's a very quiet place with few, if any, residents.
