Bells is a small city located in Grayson County, Texas, United States. It's north of the big city of Dallas. In 2020, about 1,521 people lived there. Bells is part of the larger Sherman–Denison area, which is a group of cities that are close together. People sometimes call Bells "Crossroads of Friendliness" or "The Big Grape."

History of Bells
Bells got its start in the early 1870s. This was when the railroad tracks were built and reached this area. Local stories say that the town was named "Bells" because church bells rang to celebrate the arrival of the train.
Geography of Bells
Bells is in the eastern part of Grayson County. It's located where two important roads meet: U.S. Route 69 and Texas State Highway 56.
- US 69 goes northwest about 13 miles (21 km) to Denison. It also goes south about 7 miles (11 km) to Whitewright.
- Highway 56 goes west about 12 miles (19 km) to Sherman. Sherman is the main city in Grayson County. Highway 56 also goes east about 14 miles (23 km) to Bonham.
- U.S. Route 82, which is a four-lane highway, also runs through the northern part of Bells. It connects to Sherman and Bonham too.
The United States Census Bureau says that Bells covers a total area of about 2.24 square miles (5.8 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
