Benjamin Richard Grubbs (born March 10, 1984) is a former American football player. He played as an offensive guard in the National Football League (NFL). Ben played college football for the Auburn Tigers. He was picked by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft. He also played for the New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs.

Early Life and High School Football
Ben Grubbs was born in Columbus, Georgia. He grew up in Eclectic, Alabama. Ben went to Elmore County High School. He was a star player on the football team.
High School Achievements
As a senior, Ben was a top linebacker. He made 150 tackles and had six sacks. He also played fullback. He ran for 130 yards and scored two touchdowns. As a junior, he had 110 tackles. Ben was also a four-year starter on the basketball team.
He was named a SuperPrep All-American. He was also an All-State selection in Alabama. Ben chose to play college football at Auburn University.
College Football Career at Auburn
Ben Grubbs started at Auburn University in 2002. He spent his first year building muscle. He was planning to play defensive tackle.
Changing Positions
In 2003, Ben moved to tight end. He played in nine games that season. The next year, he changed positions again. His coach suggested he try offensive guard.
Success on the Offensive Line
Ben became a starter at offensive guard. He started all 13 games in 2004. That year, the Auburn Tigers had a perfect season. In 2005, he started all 12 games.
During his time at Auburn, Ben never missed a game. He started 37 games in a row. He helped block for future NFL running backs. These included Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown. He also blocked for quarterback Jason Campbell. Ben earned his degree in Public Administration in 2006.

Baltimore Ravens (2007–2011)

New Orleans Saints (2012–2014)
On March 15, 2012, Ben signed with the New Orleans Saints. He signed a five-year contract. During his time with the Saints, he was chosen for another Pro Bowl.
Kansas City Chiefs (2015)
On March 12, 2015, Ben was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs gave up a draft pick to get him. In his first season with the Chiefs, Ben started seven games. However, he got injured during the season. The Chiefs later released him from the team.
