The Bennetts River is a cool stream that flows through two states in the United States. It starts in southern Missouri and then makes its way into northern Arkansas. This river is an important part of the local environment.

Where Bennetts River Starts
The Bennetts River begins its journey in Howell County, Missouri. You can find its starting point southeast of a place called Hocomo. It's also near US 160, a major road.
The River's Journey
From its source, the Bennetts River flows mainly south. It passes to the west of Moody, Missouri. The river then goes under Missouri Route 142.
Flowing into Arkansas
The stream continues its path south into Fulton County, Arkansas. After a while, it turns and flows towards the west. This happens northwest of Viola.
Reaching Norfork Lake
The Bennetts River crosses Arkansas Route 87 just south of Vidette. Finally, it flows into Baxter County, Arkansas. Its journey ends when it joins the northeast part of Norfork Lake. This area is also known as Bennetts Bayou, right across from the Gamaliel Campground.
How the River Got Its Name
The Bennetts River was named after a local family. The Bennett family lived in the area for a long time.
