High School Football

Bernard Hall was born on January 16, 1967. He played high school football at Henry Ford High School in Detroit Michigan. He was the team's quarterback.

Hall was a star player in high school. He led his team to 27 regular season wins in a row. They also won three straight league championships. Because of his great performance, he was chosen as an All-State player two times.

College Football Career

University of Oklahoma

After high school, Hall went to the University of Oklahoma to play football. He had to sit out his first year in 1986 because of his grades. In 1987, he played in nine games as a backup running back. He scored one touchdown.

Hall had to take a break from football for several years.

Central State University

In 1994, Hall returned to football. He joined the Central State Marauders at Central State University. He played as a tight end for one season before his college eligibility ended.

In 1995, Hall played in a college all-star game in Louisville, Kentucky.

Professional Career

St. Louis Stampede

In 1996, Hall signed with the St. Louis Stampede in the Arena Football League (AFL). He was 29 years old when he started his professional career. In the AFL, players often played both offense and defense, so Hall was a fullback and a linebacker.

Hall had an amazing first season. In one game, he scored five rushing touchdowns, which tied an AFL record. By the end of the season, he had set new AFL records for the most rushing attempts (101) and rushing touchdowns (26) in a single season.

The Stampede finished the season with an 8–6 record but lost in the first round of the playoffs. During that playoff game, Hall fractured his ankle. For his great work during the 1996 season, he was named to the first-team All-Arena team. After the season, the St. Louis Stampede team was shut down.

Nashville Kats

In 1996, Hall was chosen by the Nashville Kats in a special draft. However, he was still recovering from his ankle injury. He was placed on the injured list before the 1997 season began and was not able to play for the team.

Personal Life

Hall's son, Breece Hall, is also a professional football player in the NFL.
