Breece Hall (born May 31, 2001) is an American professional football player. He is a running back for the New York Jets in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the Iowa State Cyclones. During his college career, he was named an All-American twice. He also won the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year award. The Jets chose Breece Hall in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Breece Hall was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up in Wichita, Kansas. He went to Wichita Northwest High School. In his junior year, Breece was a top player. He ran for over 2,000 yards and scored 36 touchdowns. He was named first-team All-Metro and first-team All-State. As a senior, he continued to shine. He rushed for more than 2,100 yards and 29 touchdowns. He was again named first-team All-State. He also earned the Wichita Metro Player of the Year award.
College Football Career
Breece Hall became the main running back for Iowa State in his first year. This happened after David Montgomery left for the NFL. In one game against West Virginia, Breece ran for 132 yards. He scored three touchdowns, helping his team win. The next week, he ran for 183 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught three passes for 73 yards. He finished his first season with 897 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. He was named second-team All-Big 12.
In his second year, Breece started strong. He rushed for over 100 yards in eight games in a row. He led all college players in rushing yards with 1,572. He also scored 21 rushing touchdowns. He caught 23 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns. He was named first-team All-Big 12. He also won the conference's Offensive Player of the Year award. He became the first unanimous All-American in his school's history.

Professional NFL Career
Breece Hall was picked by the New York Jets in the 2022 NFL Draft. He was the 36th player chosen overall. He was also the first running back selected in that draft class.
2022 Season Highlights
Breece Hall played his first NFL game in Week 1 of the 2022 season. It was against the Baltimore Ravens. In Week 2, he scored his first professional touchdown. It was a ten-yard catch from quarterback Joe Flacco. In Week 5, he had an amazing game against the Miami Dolphins. He rushed for 97 yards and caught passes for 100 yards. He also scored a touchdown, helping the Jets win 40–17.

In Week 5 against the Denver Broncos, Breece had another huge game. He rushed for 177 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown run. The Jets won 31–21. In Week 8, he scored a 50-yard receiving touchdown against the New York Giants. He finished that game with 76 receiving yards. The Jets won 13–10 in overtime.
By the end of the 2023 season, Breece Hall had 994 rushing yards. He also scored five rushing touchdowns. He caught 76 passes for 591 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns.

Personal Life and Family Connections
Breece Hall comes from a family with many ties to professional football. His father, Bernard Hall, played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners. He also played in the Arena Football League. His step-father, Jeff Smith, played for the Chiefs and Buccaneers in the NFL.
Breece's cousin, Kenton Keith, played briefly for the Jets in 2004. The Jets later became Breece's team. Kenton also played for the Colts in 2007. He spent six seasons in the CFL. Breece Hall's third cousin is Roger Craig. Roger Craig was a famous running back for the San Francisco 49ers in the 1980s. He won three Super Bowls.
