William "Bill" Collick (born around 1951) is a well-known former American football and wrestling coach. He also worked as an athletics director at a college. He is famous for leading the football team at Delaware State University as their head coach from 1985 to 1996. During his time there, his team won 81 games and lost 48.
After coaching, Bill Collick became the athletic director at Delaware State from 1996 to 2000. Later, he coached high school football. He was the head coach at Sussex Technical High School in Georgetown, Delaware from 2000 to 2009. Then, he coached at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, Delaware from 2010 until he retired in 2017. In 1998, Bill Collick was honored by being added to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.

Bill Collick's Coaching Journey
Bill Collick had a long and successful career in sports. He started as a player himself, playing football for Wesley College in the early 1970s. After his playing days, he moved into coaching.
He began coaching at the high school level. He was an assistant football coach at Cape Henlopen High School. He also coached wrestling there. His skills quickly became clear.
Coaching at Delaware State
In 1981, Bill Collick joined Delaware State University. He first worked as a defensive coordinator for their football team. This meant he was in charge of the team's defense. His hard work paid off, and in 1985, he became the head football coach.
As head coach, he led the Delaware State Hornets to great success. His teams won five championships in the MEAC. These wins happened in 1985, 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1991. He was also named the MEAC Coach of the Year in 1985, which is a big honor.
Life After College Coaching
After leaving Delaware State in 1996, Bill Collick continued to be involved in sports. He served as the athletic director for the university for four years. In this role, he helped manage all the sports programs at the school.
Later, he returned to coaching high school football. He coached at Sussex Technical High School for almost a decade. Then, he went back to Cape Henlopen High School, where he had started his coaching career. He coached there until he retired in 2017. His long career shows his dedication to sports and helping young athletes.
