Birch Lake is a lovely lake located in Oklahoma, United States. It's a great place for outdoor activities like fishing. The lake is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south of Barnsdall. It is also around 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Bartlesville. If you're coming from Tulsa, it's about 30 miles (48 km) northwest.

About Birch Lake
Birch Lake covers an area of about 1,137 acres (4.6 square kilometers). This is roughly the size of 860 football fields! The lake holds a lot of water, about 52,800 acre-feet (65.1 million cubic meters).
How Birch Lake Was Formed
The lake was created from a stream called Birch Creek. This creek is a smaller branch that flows into Bird Creek. Eventually, all the water from Birch Lake and Bird Creek flows into the mighty Arkansas River.

Birch Lake is a very popular spot for fishing. Many different kinds of fish call this lake home. You can find:

Lake Safety and Patrol
