Black Law is a cool hill located in the Manor Hills range. This range is part of the Southern Uplands in beautiful Scotland. It stands 698 meters (about 2,290 feet) tall. Black Law is known as one of the "Donalds," which are a special list of mountains in the Scottish Lowlands.
This hill is a bit tricky to reach because it's quite remote. It's not easy to combine a hike up Black Law with other nearby hills. Getting to the top often means walking over rough ground.

Popular Hiking Routes
- The Dun Rig Horseshoe: Some hikers include Black Law as part of a longer journey called the Dun Rig Horseshoe. This route starts to the north-east.
- From Megget Reservoir: You can also start your climb from the south, near the Megget Reservoir. This area is known for its pretty views.
- From Manor Valley: The easiest way to reach Black Law is usually from the Manor Valley itself. This starting point might be best if you are new to hillwalking.
