Where is Black Springs?

Black Springs is found in the southwestern part of Montgomery County. A main road, Arkansas Highway 8, goes right through the town. This highway connects Black Springs to Norman (about 2 miles east) and Mena (about 35 miles west). Mena is located in the Ouachita Mountains.
The town covers a total area of about 0.45 square miles. Most of this area is land. A very small part is water. Black Springs sits on a low ridge. The Caddo River flows to the south of the town. Lick Creek, a smaller stream, is to the north. The Caddo River eventually flows into the Ouachita River.
