In 2020, Blessing Chitapa tried out for the ninth season of The Voice UK. She joined singer Olly Murs' team. Blessing sang "Angels" by Robbie Williams in the final. Releasing Count My Blessings in 2021
On March 2, 2021, Blessing announced her new song, "I Smile". This song was released on March 12, 2021. It was the first song from her first album, Count My Blessings. She even performed "I Smile" at the final of the tenth season of The Voice UK.
Blessing's first album, Count My Blessings, came out on April 30, 2021. Later in 2021, Blessing left Island Records.
