Bluffton is a small community known as a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada. It is part of Ponoka County. You can find Bluffton about 1 kilometer northeast of Highway 20. It's also roughly 97 kilometers northwest of Red Deer.
A Look Back in Time
Imagine a time when a small place like Bluffton was making tons of pasta! In 1961, a pasta factory called Montalbetti opened here. This factory was quite busy. It produced between 3,500 and 4,000 pounds of spaghetti, macaroni, and vermicelli every single day.
That's about one million pounds of pasta each year! This pasta was sold to stores all over Alberta and Saskatchewan. The factory stayed open for at least a few years, until 1963. However, it is no longer in Bluffton today.
