Boultham is a part of Lincoln, a city in Lincolnshire, England. In 2021, about 11,258 people lived in the Boultham area. This number includes places like New Boultham and Swanpool Garden Suburb.
Boultham is a large area, especially west of the River Witham near Lincoln High Street. It also includes part of Lincoln City Centre. Its northern edge is along Brayford Pool and the Fossdyke, stretching to Carholme Golf Course. Other parts of Boultham include Hartsholme, New Boultham, and Swanpool. Tritton Road is a main road that goes right through the middle.
You can find two important churches here: St Helen's Church, which is a very old and special building, and Holy Cross Church, which is used more often for regular services. Boultham is also home to the Lincoln Central Mosque and Cultural Centre. There are also many shops and retail parks in the area.
In 2011, three local politicians from the Labour Party represented Boultham on the Lincoln City Council. One Labour councillor also represented the area on the Lincolnshire County Council.

Boultham Mere is a great place to see different kinds of wildlife. It is especially known for having a group of Variable Damselfly. These are small, colorful insects that look a bit like dragonflies.
A Look at Boultham's Past
Long ago, in 1911, Boultham was a separate area with about 1,028 people living there. This was known as a "civil parish."
However, on November 9, 1920, Boultham officially became part of the city of Lincoln. This means it was no longer a separate parish but was joined together with Lincoln.
