Brandon Aiyuk (EYE-yook; born March 17, 1998) is an American professional football player. He is a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League (NFL).
Brandon played college football for the Sierra College Wolverines and the Arizona State Sun Devils. The 49ers chose him in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Brandon Aiyuk was born in Rocklin, California. He grew up in Reno, Nevada. His family has roots in Cameroon.
He went to Robert McQueen High School. There, he played wide receiver and defensive back. He also returned kicks for the school's football team. In his senior year, he was named first-team All-Northern Nevada.
College Football Career
Brandon started his college football journey at Sierra College. He played there for two years.

2016 Season Highlights
As a freshman, Brandon caught 29 passes. He gained 573 yards and scored five touchdowns. He was recognized as All-NorCal Conference.
2017 Season Highlights
In his second year, Brandon became a Junior College All-American. He caught 60 passes for 960 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also returned 11 kickoffs for 418 yards and two touchdowns. Plus, he returned 14 punts for 313 yards and one touchdown.
He ended his time at Sierra College with 2,499 all-purpose yards. He also scored 21 touchdowns. He was named First-Team All-NorCal Conference and All-State.
Brandon then decided to transfer to Arizona State. He chose Arizona State because they wanted him to play wide receiver. Other schools mostly saw him as a return specialist or wanted him to play defense.

2018 Season Highlights
In his first year with the Arizona State Sun Devils, Brandon caught 33 passes. He gained 474 yards and scored three touchdowns. He also had 381 total return yards.
2019 Season Highlights
Before his senior year, Brandon was named third-team preseason All-Pac-12 Conference. He had an amazing game against Washington State on October 12, 2019. He caught seven passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns. This earned him the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award.
He also won the conference Special Teams Player of the Week award. This was after a game against Oregon State on November 16. He had 44 kickoff return yards and 76 punt return yards. One punt return was for a touchdown, his first at ASU. In that same game, he caught 10 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown. His 293 all-purpose yards were the fifth-most in a single game in school history.
Brandon finished the 2019 season with 65 receptions for 1,192 yards and eight touchdowns. He also returned 14 punts for 226 yards and one touchdown. He returned 14 kickoffs for 446 yards. He was named first-team All-Pac-12 as both a wide receiver and a return specialist.

2020 Rookie Season
The San Francisco 49ers picked Brandon Aiyuk as the 25th player in the 2020 NFL draft. He signed a four-year contract with the team.
He made his NFL debut in Week 2 against the New York Jets. In Week 3, he scored his first career rushing touchdown. This made him the first 49ers wide receiver since 1970 to have a rushing touchdown as their first score. In Week 4, he scored another rushing touchdown. He was the first wide receiver since the NFL-AFL merger to have two rushing touchdowns in his first three games.
Brandon had his first game with over 100 receiving yards in Week 7. He caught six passes for 115 yards against the New England Patriots. As a rookie, he played in 12 games. He had 60 receptions for 748 yards and five receiving touchdowns. He also scored two rushing touchdowns.
2021 Season
Brandon started all 17 games for the 49ers in 2021. He caught 56 passes for 826 yards. He also scored five touchdowns.
2022 Season
In Week 16, Brandon had a great game against the Raiders. He caught nine passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. He also had a 16-yard rushing touchdown. He played and started all 17 games in 2022. He recorded 78 receptions for 1,015 yards and eight touchdowns. He had two games where he scored two receiving touchdowns.
2023 Season
The 49ers decided to keep Brandon for a fifth year on his rookie contract. In Week 1 of the 2023 season, he had eight catches for 129 yards and two touchdowns. This earned him the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award.
He injured his shoulder in Week 2 but kept playing. He missed the Week 3 game due to the injury. In Week 4, he caught six passes for 148 yards. In Week 11, he had five receptions for 156 yards and a touchdown. He started all 16 games he played in. He had seven games with over 100 receiving yards. He finished the season with 75 receptions for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns.
In the NFC Championship game, Brandon scored a receiving touchdown. He also had a big 51-yard catch that helped the 49ers score. In Super Bowl LVIII, he caught three passes for 49 yards. The 49ers lost a close game to the Kansas City Chiefs.
2024 Season
On August 30, 2024, Brandon signed a new four-year contract with the 49ers. In Week 5, he had eight receptions for 147 yards against the Arizona Cardinals.
However, on October 20, Brandon suffered a serious injury. He tore his ACL and MCL during a game against the Chiefs. This injury meant he could not play for the rest of the season. He finished the 2024 season with 25 receptions for 374 yards in seven games.
2025 Season
As of July 18, Brandon Aiyuk was placed on the PUP list. This means he is working to recover from his ACL and MCL injuries from the previous season.
