Brandon Davies (born July 25, 1991) is a professional basketball player. He plays for Alvark Tokyo in Japan's B.League. Brandon is from the United States but also plays for the Ugandan national team. He was a top college player at Brigham Young University. Davies has been chosen for the All-EuroLeague team twice.

Brandon Davies' Early Life and College Basketball Journey
Brandon Davies was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Provo, Utah, with his single mother, Kathy Davies. Brandon went to Provo High School. His team won state championships in his second and third years there. He decided to play college basketball at Brigham Young University. He chose BYU over other schools like California and Gonzaga.
Playing for BYU Cougars
In his first year (2009–10), Brandon played a smaller role. But in his second year, he became a very important player for the Cougars. He was the main inside player for the BYU team. This team was known for its great shooters, including Jimmer Fredette. BYU had an amazing record of 27 wins and only 2 losses. They were ranked third in the country. During this time, Brandon was suspended from the team for breaking school rules.
Brandon returned to the team for his third year. He was named to the All-West Coast Conference team in both his third and fourth years. As a senior, Brandon was the team captain. He scored about 17.7 points and grabbed 8.0 rebounds per game.
Brandon Davies' Professional Basketball Career
After finishing college, Brandon Davies was invited to a special camp for players hoping to join the NBA. He played very well at this camp. He scored 20.7 points and grabbed 9.3 rebounds per game. He was even named the MVP of the camp! This led to an invitation to another NBA tryout. Even though he wasn't picked in the 2013 NBA draft, he joined the Los Angeles Clippers for their summer league games. Later, he signed with the Clippers but was released before the season started.
Playing for the Philadelphia 76ers (2013–2014)
On October 28, 2013, Brandon signed with the Philadelphia 76ers. He played his first NBA game on November 2, 2013. He scored two points in just two minutes against the Chicago Bulls. In January 2014, he broke a finger, which needed surgery. On November 5, 2014, Brandon scored his highest NBA points in a single game, with 20 points.
Time with the Brooklyn Nets (2014–2015)
In December 2014, Brandon was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. He played in seven games for the Nets. In January 2015, the Nets released him.
Playing in Europe: France and Italy
After his time in the NBA, Brandon moved to Europe. In January 2015, he signed with Élan Chalon in France. He helped his team reach the league playoffs. In August 2015, he signed with Pallacanestro Varese in Italy for the 2015–16 season. In July 2016, Brandon joined AS Monaco in France.
Success with Žalgiris Kaunas (2017–2019)
In the summer of 2017, Brandon played in a tournament called The Basketball Tournament. On June 23, 2017, he signed a contract with Žalgiris Kaunas, a team in Lithuania. Over two seasons, Brandon helped Žalgiris achieve great success, especially in the EuroLeague. On May 9, 2019, Brandon was named to the All-EuroLeague First Team. He was the first Žalgiris player to get this award in 15 years!
Joining FC Barcelona (2019–2022)
On July 4, 2019, Brandon Davies signed a two-year deal with the Spanish club Barcelona. In only his second game with Barcelona, Brandon scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. This helped his team win 95–87.
Playing for Olimpia Milano (2022–2023)
On June 24, 2022, Brandon signed a two-year contract with the Italian champions Olimpia Milano. He also played in the EuroLeague with them. On July 5, 2023, Brandon and the team decided to part ways.
Time with Valencia Basket (2023–2024)
On July 5, 2023, Brandon signed a two-year deal with the Spanish club Valencia. He left the club on July 4, 2024.
Playing for Partizan Belgrade (2024–2025)
On August 20, 2024, Brandon Davies signed with Partizan Mozzart Bet. This team plays in the ABA League and the EuroLeague. In his first season with Partizan, Brandon averaged 9.9 points and 3.6 rebounds in 33 EuroLeague games. He also shot a career-high 49.2% from the three-point line. During this season, Partizan won their eighth ABA League championship. They also won the Serbian League championship, which was their first in 11 seasons.
Moving to Alvark Tokyo (2025–Present)
On June 27, 2025, Brandon Davies signed with Alvark Tokyo of the Japanese B.League.
Brandon Davies' National Team Career
When Brandon moved to Barcelona, he also got a Ugandan passport. This allowed him to play in certain leagues without counting against limits for American players. As part of this, Barcelona agreed to let Brandon play for the Uganda national team. In November 2021, he played in three World Cup qualifying games for Uganda.
Brandon Davies' Personal Life
Brandon Davies is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Lenzie Quist in January 2015. They have a daughter, who was born in the summer of 2016.
