Brandon Jerome Mebane (pronounced MEE-bayn) is a former American football player. He was a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). Brandon was born on January 15, 1985, in Los Angeles, California. He went to Crenshaw High School and later played college football for the California Golden Bears. The Seattle Seahawks picked him in the 2007 NFL draft. He also played for the San Diego and Los Angeles Chargers.

College Football Career
Brandon Mebane played football for four years at the University of California, Berkeley. During his time with the Golden Bears, he made 109 tackles. He also had 14.5 sacks and caused one fumble. These are good stats for a defensive player.

Playing for the Seattle Seahawks

In March 2019, Mebane signed another two-year contract with the Chargers. The team had moved to Los Angeles by then. He was released by the Chargers in March 2020.
On November 20, 2020, Brandon Mebane announced his retirement. He officially ended his professional football career.
