Richard Kevin Sherman (born March 30, 1988) is a famous American football player. He played as a cornerback for 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Sherman went to Stanford University for college, where he started as a wide receiver before becoming a cornerback.

The Seattle Seahawks picked him in the 2011 NFL draft. He was chosen for the Pro Bowl five times and was named All-Pro five times. In 2013, he led the NFL in interceptions and helped the Seahawks win their first Super Bowl. Many people think Sherman is one of the best cornerbacks ever.

While with the Seahawks, Sherman was part of a strong defense called the "Legion of Boom". This defense was the best at stopping passes in 2013 and 2014. They helped the Seahawks win Super Bowl XLVIII with a huge 43–8 victory over the Denver Broncos. The Seahawks also reached Super Bowl XLIX the next year, but lost a close game to the New England Patriots. After the Seahawks, he played for the San Francisco 49ers for three seasons, making it to Super Bowl LIV. He also played one season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
