Bristol Sheeran Marie Palin (born October 18, 1990) is an American public speaker and television personality. She is the oldest daughter of Todd and Sarah Palin. She is known for appearing on reality TV shows and for her work as a public speaker.
Palin competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2010, reaching the finals and finishing in third place. She also starred in the Lifetime show Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp in 2012. Later that year, she returned for the 15th season of Dancing with the Stars.

Early Life and Education
Bristol Palin was born in Wasilla, Alaska. Her parents are Todd and Sarah. She was named "Bristol" after the Bristol Bay area of Alaska, where her father grew up. Her mother also worked at the Bristol Inn and hoped to work at ESPN, which is headquartered in Bristol, Connecticut.
Bristol was mostly raised in Wasilla. She attended Juneau-Douglas High School when her mother was the governor of Alaska. She also briefly lived in Anchorage and attended West Anchorage High School. She graduated from Wasilla High School in May 2009.
Becoming a Public Figure
Bristol Palin gained national attention in 2008. This happened when her mother, Sarah Palin, was chosen as a vice presidential candidate. Bristol, who was 17 at the time, became a focus of media interest.
On September 1, 2008, it was announced that Bristol was engaged to her high school boyfriend, Levi Johnston. Her family and Johnston appeared together at the 2008 Republican National Convention.

In December 2008, Bristol Palin welcomed her son, Tripp. The child's father was her high school boyfriend, Levi Johnston.
Palin and Johnston ended their engagement in March 2009. They later had a legal case about custody and child support for their son. In July 2010, they announced they were engaged again, but they ended their second engagement less than three weeks later. They eventually reached an agreement for shared parenting of their son.
On March 13, 2015, Palin announced her engagement to Dakota Meyer, a former Marine. They had met in 2014 while filming a show with her mother. However, the wedding planned for May 2015 was called off.
On June 25, 2015, Palin announced she was expecting her second child, whose father was Meyer. In June 2016, Palin and Meyer got married. In December 2016, Palin announced she was expecting her third child, her second with Meyer. She gave birth to a daughter in 2017.
On February 13, 2018, Palin and Meyer announced they were separating, and Meyer filed for divorce. Their divorce was finalized on August 1, 2018.
Political Views
In May 2012, Bristol Palin shared her views on then-President Obama's decision to support same-sex marriage.
Palin also disagreed with the 2015 decision to officially change the name of Mount McKinley to Denali. In a blog post, she wrote that she had always called it Mount McKinley.
