Broderick Jones grew up in Stonecrest, Georgia. He went to Lithonia High School there. He was very talented in football from a young age. In ninth grade, he received his first scholarship offer from the University of Alabama.
As a senior, Jones was seen as one of the best offensive linemen in the country. He was even chosen to play in the Under Armour All-America Game. He was a top recruit and decided to play college football at the University of Georgia.
College Football Career
Jones started his college career at the University of Georgia in 2020. He was a redshirt player that year. This means he practiced with the team but did not play in games. This allowed him to gain experience without using a year of his college eligibility.
In 2021, Jones played more often. He started four games when another player, Jamaree Salyer, was injured. His strong play earned him a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team. He was a key part of the Georgia Bulldogs team that won two national championships.

2023 Season Highlights
Jones made his first start for the Steelers on October 8, 2023. This game was against the Baltimore Ravens. He played very well in his first start. He blocked for 37 pass plays and did not allow any sacks. He only allowed one pressure on the quarterback.
Later in the 2023 season, Jones became a regular starter. He took over the right tackle position in Week 9. He kept this starting role for the rest of the season. He played in all 17 games and started 11 of them. Jones also played in his first NFL playoff game. This was when the Steelers played against the Buffalo Bills.
2024 Season Overview
Before the 2024 season began, Jones was named the Steelers' starting right tackle. He started in the team's first game, a win against the Atlanta Falcons. In Week 2, he had some challenges against the Denver Broncos. He committed three penalties in a short time. Because of this, he was temporarily replaced by another player, Troy Fautanu.
However, Fautanu got injured before Week 3. This meant Jones was back as the starter. Fautanu was later placed on the injured reserve list. This made Jones the permanent starting right tackle for the rest of the 2024 season.
Jones had one of his best games in Week 10. This was during a close win against the Washington Commanders. He played a great game, not allowing any pressures or sacks. He finished the 2024 season playing in all 17 games and starting 16 of them. The Steelers made the playoffs again that year. Jones played in their final game of the season against the Baltimore Ravens.
