Bronwood is a small town located in Terrell County, Georgia, in the United States. In 2020, about 334 people lived there. It is part of the larger Albany metropolitan area.
History of Bronwood
Bronwood started out with a different name! In 1858, when a railroad line was built through the area, it was called "Brown's Station." This name came from a railroad official named Mr. Brown.
Later, in 1883, the government of Georgia officially recognized the place as a town. They decided to call it "Bronwood." The town's boundaries were set to extend one mile in every direction from the old train station.
