Bruce Allen Davison (born June 28, 1946) is an American actor and director. He has been acting since 1968 and has appeared in over 270 movies, TV shows, and stage plays.
Davison became well-known for his role as Willard Stiles in the 1971 horror movie Willard. For his performance in the 1989 film Longtime Companion, he won a Golden Globe Award. He was also nominated for an Academy Award.
He is also famous for playing George Henderson in the TV show Harry and the Hendersons. Many people know him as Senator Robert Kelly in the superhero movies X-Men (2000) and X2 (2003).

Early Life and Education
Bruce Davison was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1946. His parents divorced when he was three years old. He lived with his mother and visited his father on weekends.
In 1964, he graduated from Marple Newtown Senior High School. He went to Penn State to study art. He discovered acting when he went with a friend to an audition. He then joined the acting program at New York University and graduated in 1969.
Acting Career
Davison's career began on the Broadway stage in 1968 in a play called Tiger at the Gates. He also starred in famous plays like The Elephant Man and The Glass Menagerie.
First Movies
Davison's first movie was Last Summer in 1969. The next year, he starred in The Strawberry Statement, a movie about student protests. In 1971, he played the main character in Willard, which became a popular horror film.
He also appeared in many other movies, including Ulzana's Raid, Mame, and Six Degrees of Separation.
Famous Roles
In 1990, Davison acted in the movie Longtime Companion. He played a man whose close friend was very ill. This role was highly praised, and he won a Golden Globe Award for it. He also received an Academy Award nomination.
Davison is well-known to superhero fans as Senator Robert Kelly in the X-Men movies. He appeared in the first film in 2000. In the sequel, X2, he played an imposter who looked like the senator.

Since 2006, he has been married to Michele Correy. They have a daughter named Sophia. The family lives in Woodland Hills, California.
