Bruno Malfacine, born on August 28, 1986, in Duque de Caxias, Brazil, is a super famous Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) fighter. He has won the World Championship an amazing 10 times!
Because of his incredible achievements, Bruno Malfacine was added to the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Hall of Fame. Many people think he is the best "roosterweight" (a weight class in BJJ) fighter of all time.
Bruno Malfacine's Early Life and Training
Bruno Malfacine started his journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu when he was 11 years old. This was in 1998. His first teacher was Carlos Santana.
After his first teacher stopped coaching, Bruno joined the Gama Filho team. There, he worked hard and earned his black belt. This is a very high honor in BJJ.
In 2008, Bruno moved to São Paulo, a big city in Brazil. He joined the Alliance team to train with Fabio Gurgel. It was with the Alliance team that he won his 10 world titles.
Bruno Malfacine as a Coach
In 2020, Bruno Malfacine opened his very own Alliance Jiu-Jitsu school. This school is in Orlando, Florida, in the United States.
Today, he teaches students there, sharing his amazing skills and knowledge. He helps new fighters learn the art of BJJ.
Bruno Malfacine's MMA Career
Besides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Bruno "Bad Boy" Malfacine also competed in MMA. MMA is a sport where fighters use different martial arts styles.
He had a perfect record in MMA, winning all three of his professional fights. He won all of them by submission, which means he used BJJ techniques to make his opponents give up.
