Amar Hodžić, known by his stage name Buba Corelli, is a talented rapper, songwriter, and music producer from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was born on September 22, 1989. Buba Corelli is very well-known for working closely with Jala Brat. Together, they even started their own music label called Imperia.

Besides making his own music, Buba Corelli has also had a lot of success producing songs for other popular artists in the region. Some of these artists include Maya Berović, Milan Stanković, and Severina.

About Buba Corelli's Music Journey

Early Life and First Steps in Music (1989–2014)

Amar Hodžić was born in Sarajevo, which was then part of Yugoslavia. He became interested in music when he was a teenager. His first song was released in 2004 with a childhood friend, and they called themselves the Corelli duo. In 2009, he joined a hip-hop group in Sarajevo called G-Recordz. This is when he started using his stage name, Buba Corelli.

Later, Amar met Jasmin Fazlić, who is known as Jala Brat. They began working together and released an extended play (EP) in March 2013. An EP is like a mini-album with fewer songs. They also released a collaborative studio album in December 2014.

Growing Popularity and New Music (2015–Present)

Buba Corelli's music career really took off around 2015. In December 2015, a song called "Habibi" was released by Serbian artist Rasta, featuring Buba Corelli. This song became very popular online, getting millions of views on YouTube. It was Buba Corelli's first big hit.

In June 2016, Buba Corelli and Jala Brat released their collaborative album, Kruna (meaning Crown). This album was released under their own label, Imperia, and was a huge success. It helped them become very famous in the region.

In February 2017, Jala Brat and Buba Corelli teamed up with Serbian singer Milan Stanković for his single "Ego." In June, Corelli had another hit song called "Opasno" (meaning Dangerously). The next month, Bosnian pop-folk singer Maya Berović released her sixth album, Viktorijina tajna. Jala Brat and Buba Corelli produced all the songs on this album. At the end of July, the duo also released their own song "Ultimatum." In December, they worked with Austrian rapper RAF Camora on a song called "Nema bolje" (meaning There Is No Better).

In April 2018, they released a song called "Mafia." Then, in May, Buba Corelli released his solo song "Balenciaga." In June, he released another song with Serbian artist Coby called "Ona'e" (meaning She's). These songs were part of promoting their first big concert in Belgrade, which happened on June 23. About 15,000 people came to see them perform at Tašmajdan stadium. They also performed in Sarajevo and at the Belgrade Arena with Serbian pop-folk singer Aca Lukas on New Year's Eve.

In 2018, they worked with Maya Berović again on her seventh album, which came out in July. In December, they released a song called "Benga po snijegu" (meaning Beemer In The Snow), featuring Rasta. The duo has released more songs since then, including "Mila" (meaning Dear), "Bebi" (meaning Baby), and "Kamikaza" (meaning Kamikaze), which featured Slovenian singer Senidah. Buba Corelli also appeared on two songs from Jala Brat's solo album 99.
