Buchillon is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the canton of Vaud, which is like a state. Buchillon is part of the Morges district. It sits right along the beautiful Lake Geneva.

When Was Buchillon First Mentioned?
Buchillon was first written about in the year 1228. Back then, it was known by the name Chanliva. Later, in 1339, its name changed to Buschillion.

The town is right next to Lake Geneva. It includes the main village of Buchillon and a smaller settlement called Chanivaz. Chanivaz is located where the Aubonne river flows into the lake. Buchillon used to be part of the old Morges District. In 2006, it became part of the new Morges district.
