Bushland Beach is a cool coastal suburb located near Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It's part of the northern beaches area. In 2021, about 6,641 people called Bushland Beach home.

Exploring Bushland Beach's Location
Bushland Beach is right next to the beautiful Coral Sea in the north. It has a long, sandy beach perfect for relaxing. To the north-east, you'll find the Bohle River. A smaller stream called Stony Creek flows into this river on the east side. To the south, there's a small hill called Mount Low, which is about 54 meters (177 feet) high.
A Quick Look at Bushland Beach's History
The area known as Bushland Beach used to be part of a suburb called Mount Low. The name "Bushland Beach" was first used for a housing development.
Bushland Beach is special because it's Townsville's only planned community right by the beach. It was developed by a company called the Sunland Group. It's also one of the fastest-growing suburbs in Townsville.
What's There to Do in Bushland Beach?
Bushland Beach has its own handy shopping center. You can find a Coles supermarket there, plus places like Dominos, a dollar store, and a medical center. There are also liquor stores, a pharmacy, hairdressers, a real estate agent, and a cafe. In the future, the shopping center might get even bigger with more stores. There are also plans for a new school to be built nearby.
The Bushland Beach Tavern is a popular spot, owned by the LH Group. Many people enjoy fishing, swimming, and other water activities at the beach. The beach area also has playgrounds, a skatepark, and barbecue facilities, which are great for families and friends.

There are several parks in the suburb where you can play and relax:

If you like boating, there's a boat ramp and a floating walkway on Marina Drive. This gives you easy access to Stony Creek and the Bohle River. The Townsville City Council manages this boat ramp.

The Route 33 Bus, also known as the Bushland Beach Bus, serves the area. It runs every day of the year, except on weekends and public holidays.
