Early Life and College Football

Cameron Chism was born in Washington, D.C. on December 25, 1990. He went to Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Maryland.

He played football for the Maryland Terrapins from 2008 to 2011. Playing for a college team is a big deal, and "lettered" means he earned a special award for being a key player.

Playing Professional Football

After college, Cameron Chism joined the Indianapolis Colts, a team in the National Football League (NFL). This happened on April 29, 2012, even though he wasn't chosen in the main player draft. However, he left the team on August 26, 2012.

On August 12, 2013, Cameron joined the BC Lions, a team in the Canadian Football League. He was part of their practice squad, which is like a training team for players who might join the main roster. He played in three games for the Lions in 2013. During these games, he made eight defensive tackles, one special teams tackle, and broke up 13 passes. He left the team on June 15, 2014.
