Campbell is a city in northern Dunklin County, Missouri, United States. It is known as the "Peach Capital of Missouri." In 2010, about 1,992 people lived there.

History of Campbell
Campbell was first settled in 1844. It was originally called Four Mile. The town was officially planned in 1886. Its name was changed to Campbell after Alexander Campbell. He was a local judge. A post office named Four Mile opened in 1855. The name changed to Campbell in 1882.
Geography and Location
Campbell is in the northwestern part of the Missouri Bootheel. It is located where US Route 62 and Missouri Route 53 meet. The city of Malden is seven miles northeast. St. Francis, Arkansas is 4.5 miles southwest. It is on the St. Francis River. Kennett is about 17 miles south.
The United States Census Bureau says the city covers 1.40 square miles. All of this area is land.

Education in Campbell
The Campbell R-2 School District runs the local schools. It includes one elementary school. It also operates Campbell High School. Campbell has a public library. It is part of the Dunklin County Library system.
Fun Events and Culture
Campbell hosts many fun events throughout the year. These include Easter egg hunts in the softball fields. There are also fireworks for the 4th of July. The city has yard sales and auto shows. Craft fairs and senior citizen dances are also popular. Campbell High School holds annual reunions.
The Missouri Peach Fair
The city's biggest event is the annual Missouri Peach Fair. It started in 1944. The Campbell American Legion, local peach farmers, and businesses began it. It was first a one-day picnic. People would barbecue and farmers won prizes for the best peaches.
In 2011, the event grew much larger. It became the official Missouri Peach Fair. Now, it is a seven-day celebration. It celebrates a good peach harvest. The fair includes carnival rides and arcade games. There are many food stands. You can also enjoy pageant contests and raffle drawings.
Famous People from Campbell
- Carl Edward Bailey - He was the Attorney General of Arkansas in 1934. He later became the Governor of Arkansas from 1937 to 1941.
