He has also received international awards for his acting and for his charity work.

Early Life and Education

Can Yaman was born in Istanbul, Turkey, on November 8, 1989. His family has roots from Albania. His grandfather grew up in Pristina, and his grandmother was from Skopje. Can is also the nephew of a well-known football coach, Fuat Yaman.

Can went to Bilfen College for primary school. He then studied at the Liceo Italiano di Istanbul, which is an Italian high school. He was a top student there. Can is very good at languages. He can speak Turkish, Italian, French, English, German, and even some Spanish.

In 2012, Can graduated from Yeditepe University with a law degree. He started working at a big company called PricewaterhouseCoopers. He worked in areas like business deals and wrote articles for a newspaper. Even though he was successful as a lawyer, he realized it wasn't what he truly wanted to do. During a summer break, he met people who would later become his acting managers. This meeting changed his path towards acting.

Acting Career

Can Yaman started his acting journey in 2014 with a TV show called Gönül İşleri. In 2015, he starred in İnadına Aşk, and in 2016, he was in Hangimiz Sevmedik. His big break came in 2017 when he starred in the popular series Dolunay.

From 2018 to 2019, Can played the main role in the Turkish romantic comedy series Erkenci Kuş. This role brought him many national and international awards, including the Murex d'Or award.

In 2020, Can Yaman played the lead role in the Turkish series Bay Yanlış. This show first aired on FOX. For his work in Bay Yanlış, he was nominated for an award at the LATAM PRODU 2020 Awards.

Can also became the face of a popular Turkish clothing brand called TUDORS in 2020.

In December 2020, Can made a deal with an Italian production company, Luxvide, for a series called Sandokan. This big international show took four years to plan and write. In March 2021, he appeared as a guest in the Italian series Che Dio ci Aiuti. After that, he took on a main role as Francesco Demir in the Italian series Viola come il mare. The first season was very successful, leading to a second season that was also very popular. Because of this success, a third season is planned to start filming in 2025.

In 2022, Can Yaman filmed an international series called El Turco. This series features other well-known European actors. It is expected to be released on a streaming platform in 2025.

In Autumn 2025, Can Yaman will star in the TV series Sandokan, produced by Lux Vide. This series will also feature several Hollywood actors. It might even be shown at the Venice Film Festival in 2025.

In June 2024, Can Yaman decided to delete his Instagram account, which had millions of followers. He said he wanted to focus on his acting without distractions from social media. Can Yaman currently does not use any social media.
