Carlester T. Crumpler Jr., born on September 5, 1971, is a former American football player. He played as a tight end in the National Football League (NFL). His professional career included time with the Seattle Seahawks from 1994 to 1998 and the Minnesota Vikings in 1999.
Before playing professionally, Carlester Crumpler Jr. was a standout college football player. He played for the East Carolina Pirates. In 1993, he was recognized as a first-team All-American. This honor means he was considered one of the best college players in the country.

Carlester Crumpler Jr. grew up in a family with strong ties to football. His father, Carlester Crumpler, also played professional football for the Buffalo Bills.
Carlester Jr. is also the older brother of Alge Crumpler, who was a very successful tight end in the NFL and played in the Pro Bowl. His brother Bryan Crumpler is a musician.
High School and College Football
Carlester Crumpler Jr. attended Junius H. Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina. After high school, he went on to East Carolina University.
At East Carolina, he continued to play tight end for the Pirates football team. In 1993, he was named an All-American. He was specifically chosen for the 1993 Walter Camp team as the top tight end in college football that year.
Professional Football Career
In 1994, Carlester Crumpler Jr. was chosen by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round of the NFL Draft. The NFL Draft is where professional teams select college players to join their rosters.
He played for the Seahawks for five seasons, from 1994 to 1998. After that, he joined the Minnesota Vikings for one season in 1999 before ending his professional playing career.
